Lutz, Florida – Michael Allen carded a three-under 68 on Sunday to finish off a three-stroke victory at the Encompass Insurance Pro-Am of Tampa Bay.
Allen ended the tournament at 12-under 201 to claim his second Champions Tour win, and first since the 2009 Senior PGA Championship. He made three birdies on his back nine to keep his distance from the field at TPC Tampa Bay.
While Allen hadn't won since 2009, he came very close a few times this season. He tied for third at the first two events of the season, and was runner-up to Fred Couples three weeks ago at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.
Kenny Perry fired a six-under 65 on Sunday and took second at minus-nine. Peter Senior's 67 allowed him to finish in third, at seven-under.
