Ajax kicked away a two-goal lead in the final 22 minutes to sustain a 3-2 defeat at Vitesse on Sunday, leaving the Amsterdam side three points adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven.

An own goal from Vitesse's Guram Kashia accounted for Ajax's 1-0 halftime lead before Christian Eriksen seemingly put the visitors on course for three points when he tallied his fifth goal of the season in the 64th minute.

Theo Janssen pulled a goal back for the hosts in the 68th minute and Patrick Van Aanholt leveled things at 2-2 11 minutes from time.

The visitors were clearly wobbled and were unable to recover in time to prevent Renato Ibarra's winning goal in the 81st minute, capping a furious rally by the home side.

Twente was hoping to restore its place atop the league with a win at Feyenoord, but was held to a 0-0 draw, keeping PSV one point clear.

Utrecht got goals from Anouar Kali, Edouard Duplan and Bob Schepers in a 3-1 triumph over last-place Willem II, while Soren Rieks scored 10 minutes from time to hand NEC a 2-1 home win against Groningen.
