49ers' Gore expects to play Sunday

Minneapolis, MN – San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore, who is dealing with an injured right knee, expects to play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Gore left last Sunday's win over the Giants with a hyperextension of his right knee. He was held to zero yards on six carries, effectively ending his franchise-record streak of five consecutive games with 100 or more rushing yards.

The two-time Pro Bowler returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday.

Gore currently ranks seventh in the NFL with 782 rushing yards to go along with five touchdowns in nine games played this season.
