The Hunt Is Over: 4 Historic Myron Hunt -- Designed Homes Are on the Market

The Rose Bowl. The Ambassador Hotel. The Huntington Library. These iconic Southern California structures were all designed by an architect named Myron Hunt. And now, you can be the owner of the local legend's designs -- four Hunt-designed homes are on the market right now in SoCal.

Hunt, who was born in Massachusetts, earned an architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He studied with Frank Lloyd Wright before heading West -- and straight into a building boom -- to set up his practice in Southern California in the early 1900s.

His designs, including the Pasadena Public Library, and buildings on Caltech, Pomona, and Occidental college campuses, totaled "some 500 projects in 19 years, including homes, churches and country clubs," according to the Pasadena Weekly.
