Beyonc and Jay Z have been skunked again. For the second time in as many years, the superstar singers have lost a bid on a great Los Angeles home, this time to fashion designer/director Tom Ford.

TMZ reports that Mr. and Mrs. Carter bid $49 million for a 14,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion, which sits on 3.2 acres and was once owned by actor William Powell and later by "James Bond" producer Albert Broccoli. But unfortunately, Ford offered $50 million and walked away with the property, which has nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Try as they might, Beyonc and Jay Z just can't seem to set down permanent roots in Los Angeles, where they've been renting houses and losing bids for a few years. The last huge house they lost on was a crazy-luxurious contemporary with 23,000 square feet and a candy room with an M&M tower, which Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson scooped up with a $70 million cash bid, which at the time was reported as the highest price ever paid for a single-family home in the 90210.

This latest real estate loss can't be good for Beyonc and Jay Z's domestic nonbliss, which is the theme of the songbird's new album, "Lemonade." In song after song, Beyonc seemingly slams her husband for cheating with another woman. Buzz also has it that the power duo have recorded a surprise album together, putting rumors to rest. Considering the domestic drama, we wonder if nine bedrooms are enough.
