"Devil Without a Cause" rapper Kid Rock has found a purpose -- to finally sell his Malibu, CA, compound for nearly $11 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The "very private oasis" on Point Dume is located on a cul-de-sac behind gates, the listing says. The 8,300-square-foot home features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an open kitchen with stainless-steel countertops and island, dining area, screening room, gym, and master suite with two, large walk-in closets.

The compound includes about 1.5 acres of land and a guesthouse that overlooks a pool and lounge area. There's also a three-car garage, outdoor pavilion with a built-in barbecue and mounted flat-screen TV, and a beach key.

Rock, 45, bought the house in 2006 for $11.6 million and has tried a few times to make a little profit on the sale of the home. He listed it three years ago for $13.45 million and has since been chipping away at the price.

The Times says Rock has "prettied up" the Balinese-inspired interior with handcarved doors, ornate woodwork, and skylights.

Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, is a five-time Grammy nominee who's sold over 35 million records worldwide. He first gained famed as a rap-rock artist, then moved into the country-blues genre.
