Carlos Ponce's Miami house might be the casa of your dreams. Where better to live out your wildest -- and most dramatic -- fantasies than the former estate of America's hunkiest, numero uno telenovela star?

The six-bedroom home, listed for $2.85 million, is luxurious enough for the Santa Diabla himself: New hardwood floors and white wainscoting line the hallways, and the vaulted ceilings throughout make the home feel even more spacious than its 6,606-square-foot open floor plan might suggest.

Ponce, a Puerto Rican-born actor and singer, has lived in Miami for nearly 30 years. He's starred in both American- and Mexican-produced telenovelas, as well as network shows like "7th Heaven" and "Lipstick Jungle." His music career is nearly as prolific, with eight records and three No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.

Despite the home's obvious entertainment appeal, agent Vivian Marin of Fortune International Realty emphasizes the home's family-friendliness. The nearby public schools are "some of the best in the country," and the cul-de-sac setting is quiet and peaceful.

Kids will have plenty of space to play in the backyard, with large swaths of grass and a newly renovated pool to keep them occupied when school (and the Miami sun) is out.

But there are plenty of luxurious amenities for the grown-ups, too, including the living room's floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the yard, the neutral-toned master bath with a tiled spa and dark-wood cabinetry, and a sleek kitchen with a sunny breakfast book and Italian ceramic tile backsplash that's "a little bit mirrored," Marin says, with "a yellow-orange copper look."

Unlike most of the homes in the neighborhood, the home isn't new -- in fact, it's more than 50 years old, but it recently underwent a major remodel to give it a "modern flair," according to Marin. Outside, the dated kidney-shaped pool was renovated to feature contemporary lines.

The exterior isn't a slouch, either, with curb appeal imparting major drama. You'll impress your guests when they pull up to the palm tree -- lined driveway and see the poured-concrete steps, surrounded by native plants in the rock garden.

And when they drive off at the end of the night, they'll feel like a star.
