Hello, Denver: New Avalanche Defenseman Selling His SoCal Mansion

After nine seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, Canadian hockey defenseman Francois Beauchemin is ready to say goodbye to the Golden State. Earlier this month, he signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the Colorado Avalanche and put his Tustin, CA, home on the market.

Listed for just under $3.5 million, the 5,400-square-foot, Mediterranean-style home has plenty of living space -- including 5.5 bathrooms, four bedrooms, a chef's kitchen, an office, and two master suites.

The living room has a soaring two-story ceiling, a large fireplace with marble mantel, and two sets of french doors leading to the outdoor saltwater pool. The kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, gorgeous wood cabinetry, and a butler's pantry.

The home's second-floor master suite is spacious, with a separate seating area and a bay window overlooking the pool. The master bathroom is full of custom details, including a jetted tub and his-and-her toilets.

As for Beauchemin, we can't say for sure how the Stanley Cup -- winner will fare in Denver, but we're betting he'll score big in the Mile High City.
