Former Uber exec Brent Callinicos is motoring away from his Atherton, CA, home. Built in 1996, the Mediterranean-style home is on the market for just a shade under $10 million.

Callinicos oversaw high-velocity growth during his two years as CFO for the ride-hailing mobile app. Perhaps the onetime Google exec hopes that unloading the luxe property will be yet another shrewd business decision.

We'll give this home a five-star rating: The stunning residence sits on a parklike 1-acre lot, which gives the home a feeling of a "private oasis," according to the listing.

The 7,600-square-foot, five-bedroom home features an open kitchen, a gym, and a theater room. Outdoors, there's a pool, a huge backyard, and a four-car garage.

But if you decide to leave the driving to someone else, your Uber driver would have to navigate the not-so-mean streets of Atherton, known for its sleepy demeanor and ultrarich residents.

Callinicos has decided to put the brakes on his high-speed career. As he wrote in a company email announcing his departure earlier this year: "After 26 years of nonstop work since MBA School, I am going to step back and spend some time with my family and let someone else take this amazing company to the next level as CFO."
