Five months after his first shot at selling his Manhattan Beach home, former L.A. Kings winger Alexander Frolov dropped the price on the five-bedroom Mediterranean by $100,000. The home now awaits a buyer with $2.9 million to spend.
After seven seasons with the Kings, plus one season with the New York Rangers and several abroad in his native Russia, Frolov retired from hockey in 2014.
But the IIHF gold medalist -- an achievement he received while playing with the Russian national team in 2009 -- couldn't stay away, signing a one-year deal with Russian club Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod this past July.
Now residing overseas, the left winger is ready to ditch his stunning Los Angeles -- area home. Finding a buyer shouldn't be difficult, and big buyers will get a bonus. Built for a former basketball player, the open-plan home offers ceilings that top the 9 feet mark.
Entertainers will love the backyard, where a stone patio surrounds the kidney-shaped pool and spa, making an ideal location for taking in the Southern California sunshine -- a warm departure from Frolov's Moscow roots.
