Director Michael Moore Is Selling Spectacular Lake House in Michigan for $5.2M
Filmmaker Michael Moore is ready to part ways with his spectacular house on Michigan's Torch Lake for a cool $5.2 million.
Moore is well-known for courting controversy with his documentaries, but there's nothing controversial about the beauty of this sprawling seven-bedroom home in Upper Michigan.
Listing agent Nancy Albrecht was effusive in her review of the home, giving it more than just two thumbs-up. "It has everything a buyer would want," she says." When you walk through the front door, it blows your mind. There are views from every room."
The 11,058-square-foot home features an artist's studio, library, and mud room. There's also a detached guesthouse. Albrecht says the area is popular with folks fleeing the big city for vacations and weekend getaways.
The home's proximity to Traverse City likely appealed to the director, who founded the popular Traverse City Film Festival in 2005.
Albrecht notes that the 3.5-acre property could even make an appealing spot for corporate retreats -- an interesting idea, given the background of the home's seller.
