It looks like Jenny is moving to a new block in Bel Air, CA. Depending on whom you believe, Jennifer Lopez is thisclose to buying actress Sela Ward's expansive compound ( Variety) for about $40 million -- or she has already purchased it for $28 million ( Open Listings).

The whisper-listed property features a multilevel mansion with six fireplaces and 100-year-old heart pine floors, plus a separate art studio and guesthouse. The home's parklike 8 acres are graced by a babbling brook, putting green, swimming pond, and beach.

The renovated house, owned by Ward and her venture capitalist husband, Howard Sherman, has been featured in Traditional Home magazine, which called it a "concoction of Southern California" and "Southern charm and influences." Ward, an Emmy-winning actress, grew up in Mississippi and was homecoming queen at the University of Alabama.

Lopez, who was raised in the South Bronx in New York City, adds the Bel Air home to her growing portfolio of real estate. Variety says the singer/actress/dancer owns multimillion-dollar properties in Hidden Hills, CA; New York City's Flatiron District, and the Water Mill area of the Hamptons.
