This $1.5 million home on the market in North Attleboro, MA, has a notorious connection: It belongs to convicted murderer and former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez. The luxury home was ordered to be sold as part of a civil case pending against the former NFL star.

The 5,600-square-foot home, memorably searched by the police in 2013, might be a " hard sell" because of its ties to the murder, according to a local newspaper.

Built in 2007, the brick Colonial has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a two-story entry, and an open floor plan. The master suite sports a balcony, fireplace, and wet bar, according to the listing.

The chef's kitchen features granite countertops and Wolf appliances. There's also a sunroom off the dining room, an in-ground pool, and a finished basement with a home theater, bar, and workout space.

The domicile actually played a chilling role during Hernandez's murder trial for the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd. Footage from the home's security system showed the former tight end with what appeared to be a gun minutes after the murder was committed.
