Bulls small forward Mike Dunleavy Jr. has plunked down $3.85 million for a townhouse in the Windy City's tony Lincoln Park neighborhood, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The brand-new six-bedroom, 6,234-square-foot home has five full bathrooms and three half-baths as well as an attached garage, a precious commodity in Lincoln Park.
The home also features two limestone fireplaces, an eat-in kitchen with Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Bosch appliances, and a master suite with his-and-her closets and master bath. A rooftop terrace offers skyline views of the city.
Dunleavy has been with the Bulls since 2013 and signed a $14.4 million, three-year contract in July. However, he hasn't suited up for the team this season as he recovers from back surgery. The 13-year NBA veteran joins other Bulls, including Jimmy Butler, who have recently bought homes in the city.
In the past, Bulls players gravitated to the city's North Shore suburbs because the Bulls practice facility was located in north suburban Deerfield. But last year the team opened a new in-town practice facility near its home court, on the city's resurgent Near West Side. Apparently, players want to be closer to it and so are opting for city homes now.
