Billionaire Mogul Wayne Huizenga Selling $3.9M Tennessee Retreat

Businessman Wayne Huizenga is a collector -- of companies such as Waste Management and Blockbuster Video and of sports teams such as the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins. Along the way to becoming a billionaire, he's also collected a portfolio of real estate, maintaining homes in Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina as recently as 2011.

But these days Huizenga, who turns 78 at the end of December, is paring down his real estate holdings. In 2013, he put his North Carolina retreat on the market for $4.2 million. More recently, he put his 7,763-square-foot home in Piney Flats, TN, on the market for $3.9 million, says listing agent Janice McClanahan. It was the summer home for Huizenga and his wife.

The summer home for Huizenga and his wife, this four-bedroom, seven-bathroom property is an hour and 40 minutes by car from Knoxville. It "has a lot of character" and stunning views, says McClanahan. The house sits on roughly 10 acres of land and has a private boat ramp and floating dock on Boone Lake.

The main floor features a great room with a cathedral ceiling and two levels of windows. A rooftop patio offers gorgeous views of nearby mountains and woodlands. The house is located near the Cherokee National Forest in an area of the state popular with summer vacationers.
