"The O.C." starlet Mischa Barton has finally gotten out from under her grand Beverly Hills, CA, home, which she sold for $7.05 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The actress bought the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom home for $6.4 million in 2005, when she was the red-hot star of "The O.C.," the Fox show about a troubled teen who falls in with a group of wealthy teens in Newport Beach in Orange County.

The British-born star, who was a recent "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, however, has had trouble keeping up with mortgage payments on the estate and found herself $100,000 behind in 2014 and on the brink of foreclosure, reports said.

Barton has been trying to sell the house since 2010, when she originally listed it for $8.7 million. The 1.22-acre property, a stone's throw from Rodeo Drive, includes a main house featuring a Tuscan-style kitchen with beamed ceiling and distressed cabinetry, a lavish master suite with wood-burning fireplace, and canyon and water views. There's also a spacious guesthouse.
