The founder of a human tissue company that used to contract with Planned Parenthood clinics talks briefly about obtaining whole fetuses in a short video posted late Friday afternoon by anti-abortion investigators.
The Center for Medical Progress released the two-minute clip soon after a California judge ruled Friday that the biotech company StemExpress can't prevent footage from being aired that shows its founder, Cate Dyer, talking about obtaining aborted fetal tissue.
Most of the two-minute clip contains footage already aired in previous videos. But Dyer makes a brief appearance in which she describes receiving whole fetuses in a lighthearted way.
"If you had intact cases, which we've done a lot ... we sometimes ship those back to our lab," Dyer says. "Tell the lab it's coming and you open the box, oh my God," she says, laughing.
