The Florida Democratic Party tried to resurrect the issue of Sen. Marco Rubio's finances with an ad released Monday, one day before the fifth GOP debate.

The ad, titled "The Rubio Card," echoes attacks from Donald Trump over Rubio's use of credit cards issued to him by the Republican Party of Florida. In early November, the Rubio campaign released the detailed charges by the Florida senator on the card, which had largely put the issue to rest until now.

"You're a politician on the go, and you've got a lot of expenses. Sure, you could use your personal credit card, but you're looking for something a little more nefarious," the pitch man says in the ad. "What you need is the Rubio Card. This is your opportunity to be as financially reckless and irresponsible as Marco Rubio."

"The Rubio card not only allows for preposterous expenses, it encourages them," the salesman says.
