Members of the 112th Congress begin to arrive in Washington to get to work.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., holds one last press conference at 11:00 a.m. ET as head of the chamber to discuss programs to promote job creation. She is expected to hand the gavel to Speaker-designate John Boehner, R-Ohio, Wednesday.

Speaking of Mr. Boehner, supporters from his home district in the buckeye state will arrive by bus in the afternoon to attend a reception with the Speaker-to-be at 6:00p.m. ET and watch him become the 61st Speaker of the House Wednesday afternoon.

House Republicans plan to meet in a closed press caucus meeting in the afternoon to discuss the plan for the rest of the legislative week. Democrats will have a similar meeting elsewhere in the Capitol.
