Christine O'Donnell, who's not a witch, calls FEC probe a 'witch hunt'

Former U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell, who famously said during her 2010 run in Delaware that she was "not a witch," called an FEC lawsuit she currently faces a "witch hunt."

The failed 2010 candidate made the comment during a teleconference with a federal judge over the lawsuit, which accuses her of improper campaign expenditures. She also called the suit a waste of taxpayer dollars.

O'Donnell rose to fame in 2010 after she defeated former Rep. Mike Castle for the GOP nod before going on to lose to Democrat Chris Coons in the deep blue state.

However, O'Donnell became infamous across the political spectrum after she opened up a general election ad saying "I'm not a witch," which was a response to an unearthed video where she said she "dabbled in witchcraft."
