Angelina Jolie‘s son Maddox is ready to start his first year of college.

Footage of the teen, who is attending Yonsei University in South Korea to study biochemistry, and his mom at the surfaced on social media on Wednesday, capturing the timeless tradition of a parent — who happens to be the original Lara Croft — seeing their child off to school.

The Instagram user posted a photo of the quintessential “Mom-dropping-son-off-at-college” moment along with a video of her chatting with an excited group of people.

When asked how long she was planning to stay in South Korea, Jolie, 44, answered, “I leave today,” which elicited a loud chorus of disappointment from the crowd.

“I’m trying not to cry,” she added, gesturing toward her slightly embarrassed teen who gave off awkward vibes throughout.

She said Yonsei “seems like a great school” and even attempted to corral the group for a group photo.

The 18-year-old, whom Jolie shares with ex Brad Pitt, previously toured NYU in February.

But when Maddox made his decision to head to Yonsei, Jolie told People that she was “nothing but proud” of her son’s college plans.
