Now that’s one way to heat up the fall season.
PHOTOS: Sheer and Cut-Out Dresses Make a Splash on the Red Carpet
For her appearance on “The Late Show” in New York on Wednesday, Katharine McPhee wowed fans wearing a ruffled, body-hugging sheer dress featuring a dainty floral pattern that flaunted her famous assets. Along with matching pink pumps to elongate her figure and a sun kissed-hued lob haircut, the 30-year-old singer and former “American Idol” contestant kept it simple, yet seductive.
While the sheer look is a daring one, stylists insists anyone can rock this coveted style by tastefully emphasizing one’s best features.

“Sheer fabrics are an ideal way to enhance your figure for nighttime looks,” says style expert Cecelia Myers. “A blouse with sheer sleeves is a great way to show your arms even if they aren’t like Michelle Obama’s. One of my favorite looks is a lace skirt where the liner stops just a few inches before the hem. It allows your legs to be a bit more visible without trying too hard. If you’re worried about it being too revealing, pair some opaque tights with the skirt.”
“Sheer is for everyone,” adds Sharon Graubard of Stylesight. “A woman who is not comfortable showing her midriff can still wear sheer sleeves, illusion necklines, insets at the shoulder, or a button-up over a tank top … Just a wide border of sheer at a skirt hem, or sheer insets on a pleated skirt, suggests lingerie and has a sexy but not-overexposed effect.”

To coincide with New York Fashion Week, pop princess Britney Spears launched “The Intimate Britney Spears,” her own collection of lacy bras, silky kimonos, seductive underwear and more.

“Britney Spears is offering millions of consumers and loyal fans the opportunity to get closer to her than ever before,” states a release published on the line’s official site. “Introducing ‘The Intimate Britney Spears’ Collection,’ inspired by romance and elegance of a time gone by combined with current trends in lingerie, night, swim, and sleepwear.”
The 32-year-old, who looked sexy herself in a low-cut coral jumpsuit, even admitted to Cosmopolitan that she doesn’t always feel so glamorous, which may have prompted her to take a plunge into the fashion world.

“I’m a mom, so I’m really busy cleaning up poop and all those kinds of things — from dogs and kids,” said the mother of two. “So I think it’s important for us women to make that special time for ourselves, to feel sexy and make an effort to light the candles and put on something really beautiful for ourselves.”

The 2014 Deutscher Radiopreis Awards took place on Thursday (September 4) in Germany — but chances are you wouldn’t know about them if one famous blonde wasn't turning heads with her dangerously alluring couture.
PHOTOS: Taylor Swift's Glamorous Style Evolution
Taylor Swift rocked the carpet for the German radio awards wearing a stunning ensemble that surely made everyone in attendance do a double-take. Taking a break from her retro-inspired dresses, the 24-year-old “Shake It Off” singer arrived in a cage-inspired, super low-cut crop top, as well as a hip-hugging white peplum skirt.
The stunning outfit is by Australia-based design label Sass & Bide. JustJared.com is also reporting that Swift finished the look with Casadei heels and Neil Lane jewels. For a modern feel, Swift even toned down her signature red lips, instead adding emphasis to her statuesque figure.
And according to stylists, anyone can channel a little bit of Swift with their own fashion — if you’re daring enough, of course.
“Keep dresses form-fitting and not too revealing,” says image consultant Thea Wood. “A good rule of thumb? If it’s form-fitted, feature only one skin element, such as your back, bust, legs or midriff.”

WATCH: Dita Von Teese's Tips for Buying Lingerie
Burlesque star Dita Von Teese knows a thing or two about feeling ah-mazing in the finest lingerie. When the 41-year-old isn't strutting her stuff on stage in a Swarovski-encrusted corset (and not much else), she’s designing glamorous couture to wear underneath your clothes. In fact, before the self-proclaimed “lingerie snob” became a world-famous entertainer, she worked in a lingerie store for 10 years.
Today, Von Teese has her very own line of lingerie. And just in time for the cool fall season, she's unveiling some hot new pieces that are certain to raise temperatures.
“In autumn and winter, I love richness and depth with splashes of color, especially jewel tones,” explains Von Teese to online lingerie retailer FigLeaves.com, which is currently carrying her autumn/winter 2014 collection. “Exquisite lace is always inspiring, so I seek out special lace patterns and find ways to really showcase that lace.”
In three words, she describes her latest offerings as "Glamorous. Sensual. Functional.”

While you can expect Von Teese’s line to be inspired by tantalizing vintage designs to help any woman channel her inner pinup, there is one piece she recommends stocking up on.
“One of my favorite pieces available at FigLeaves.com is my ‘Mancatcher’ sheer lace bra,” says Von Teese. “It is made with lovely Chantilly lace. I also love the way this type of bra lifts yet still maintains a sexy, natural feel … ideal for seduction!”

Apparently, there was a memo being passed around in the wardrobe department.
PHOTOS: Christina Hendricks' Sexiest Looks
The 2014 Emmy Awards took place Monday in Los Angeles, and while thet AMC series “Breaking Bad” certainly won big, many had their eyes on Hollywood’s leading ladies choosing to paint the town red hot.
From bold crimson to burnt orange, every shade of red could be spotted on the couture gowns of television’s finest. This head-turning hue is usually a fashion no-no (to avoid matching with, well, the red-carpet), but many of the actresses attending the ceremony rocked it flawlessly.

Among the most popular looks included that of “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks, who relied on a red satin Marchesa gown to hug her coveted hourglass shape, as well as co-star January Jones, who wore a fiery strapless dress by Prabal Gurung.

It wouldn’t be the MTV Video Music Awards without a slew of stars flashing their assets on the red carpet.

While it was an unusually tame night, the televised ceremony, which took place on Sunday in California, had plenty to offer in the wardrobe department — and shockingly enough, tongue-wagging entertainer Miley Cyrus didn’t make the cut. But don’t worry about the 21-year-old singer: She won Video of the Year for “Wrecking Ball.”
Despite Miley's lack of twerking at this year’s festivities, many celebs preferred to shock in the easiest way possible: by showing off loads of skin. Featuring peekaboo lace, daring V-necks, and barely-there couture, these ladies left little to the imagination with their fashion.
And let’s be real here, were you really watching the show to find who would really go home with a Moonman?

Although aging is a natural part of a woman’s life, there are still ways to keep your skin looking fresh and youthful.

And according to experts, it all starts with what you apply on your face every day for glowing results.
“The most important part of your beauty routine every day after removing impurities is to put a protective, plumping barrier layer of plain moisturizer against your skin,” explains Dr. Jessica Krant, assistant professor of dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. “This helps the skin protect itself from environmental damage, prevents moisture loss through evaporation, and keeps surface cells juicy and translucent to keep that glow of youth shining through when light hits your skin," she says. "It plumps up fine lines and wrinkles that can virtually disappear with the right moisturizer alone, whether it contains any fancy anti-aging ingredients or not.”
“Especially during sleep at night, the time when skin tends to dry out most, a layer of moisturizing cream can kickstart your morning with a ready-to-go glow,” adds Krant.
