A pregnant 19-year-old Chicago woman on trial in Indonesia for the death of her mother claims she's innocent and is "petrified" about her future.

Heather Mack tells the Chicago Tribune (http://trib.in/1C0FVMg ) that she loved her mother and had no reason to kill her. Sixty-two-year-old Sheila von Wiese-Mack's remains were found in August inside a suitcase outside a Bali resort where she and her daughter were staying.

Also on trial is Mack's boyfriend, 21-year-old Tommy Schaefer, who authorities say arrived in Bali shortly before her mother's death. If convicted, Schaefer and Mack could face death.

Mack says she felt moved to contact the Tribune by phone because her attorney in Indonesia is not being paid out of a family trust as ordered by a judge.

The Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/1u8Hyay ) reports that court records show Mack's uncle, William Wiese, has sold her mother's Chicago condo without telling Mack or her attorneys.
