Rescuers have recovered the body of a member of their team who was missing following a blast in a Polish coal mine.

Spokeswoman for the mine Katarzyna Jablonska-Bajer said the body was found early Thursday and was being brought to the surface.

One miner and one rescuer were already confirmed dead last Friday after methane ignited some 2,700 feet (820 meters) underground at the Krupinski mine near Katowice. The rescuer found on Thursday is the last person missing and brings the death toll to three.

Nine miners remain hospitalized with burns.
