Latvian rescue officials say a roof at a large grocery store in the country's capital collapsed, killing two and injuring at least 10.

Viktorija Sembele of the Fire and Rescue Service says the cause of the collapse is not clear, though witnesses are telling Latvian media they heard an explosion before the collapse occurred.

Sembele says approximately 5,300 square feet of roof collapsed Thursday evening at the Maxima grocery store in Riga and that the rescue operation was ongoing.
