Detroit, MI – Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard left 1 loss to Chicago with a lower body injury.
Howard started the game in net, but left in the first period after allowing one goal on five shots.
"Howie (Howard) has a lower body injury and he will be evaluated and we'll go from there," said Detroit head coach Mike Babcock after the game.
Howard, who played in his first All-Star game this season, missed eight games last month with a broken finger.
On the season, he has appeared in 49 games and is 33-13-2 with six shutouts and a 2.05 goals against average.
