Wilshere to miss additional two months

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will be sidelined an additional two months, it was revealed on Sunday.

The 19-year-old is currently battling an ankle injury which has prevented him from featuring for the Gunners this season, but he has suffered another set back in his rehabilitation and will now be out until November.

Wilshere was thought to have recovered from the injury in July, but he lasted just seven minutes in a preseason match against Red Bull New York and has been out since.

The England international enjoyed a breakout campaign last term, appearing in 35 league matches for Arsene Wenger's side.
