Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth has been voted the National League Player of the Month for July.

Werth hit .367 with 22 RBI and 17 runs scored over the course of the month.

The 34-year-old began the month with a season-high, five-RBI performance against the Milwaukee Brewers in a 10-5 Nationals win. It was the first of 10 multi-hit efforts for Werth during the month.

Other players who received votes for the monthly honor include the Los Angeles Dodgers' Hanley Ramirez, the Milwaukee Brewers' Jonathan Lucroy, the Pittsburgh Pirates' Andrew McCutchen, the Arizona Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt and the Atlanta Braves' Chris Johnson.
