Zurich, Switzerland – The U.S. women's national team remained atop the FIFA Women's World Rankings released on Friday, extending their small edge over Germany from three to 10 points.
World Cup champion Japan remained third, 58 points off the summit, and Sweden moved to fourth and Brazil slipped to fifth in the only change inside the top 10. France, Canada, Korea DPR, England and Australia round out the top 10.
Belgium had the biggest jump inside the top 50, climbing three places to 30th. Portugal had the biggest drop inside the top 50, slipping four places to 46th.
Six teams, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela, have been removed from the rankings for being inactive for more than 18 months. Senegal entered the rankings in 81st place.
The next edition of the FIFA Women's World Ranking will be released August 17.
