At age 25, A.J. Davis gets it.
The James Madison guard has done an about face this season and now he has the Dukes headed to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 19 years.
Coach Matt Brady says he remembers the transformative moment as if it were yesterday. Davis allowed an open 3-pointer against William & Mary. Brady called timeout, and Davis turned it around right there on the spot.
Now the Dukes are Colonial Athletic Association champs and headed to the NCAA for the first time since 1994.
