Houston Texans running back Arian Foster returned to practice on Wednesday after sitting out Sunday's game against New Orleans with a hamstring injury.

Foster, who was a game-time decision this past week, was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

After missing the first game of the season, Foster played in a 23-13 win over Miami in Week 2 and rushed 10 times for 33 yards. He also caught two passes for seven yards.

Foster rushed for an NFL-best 1,616 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, becoming one of the premier backs in the league, but aggravated the left hamstring injury on August 27.

The Texans (2-1) host the Steelers on Sunday.
