The Pittsburgh Pirates and center fielder year contract with a club Gazette.

The deal will buy out McCutchen's arbitration years and is reported to be worth $51.5 million with the option worth $14.75 million.

The 25-year-old is coming off his best season as a pro, hitting .259 with a .364 on-base percentage, 34 doubles, 23 home runs, 89 RBI, 87 runs scored and 23 stolen bases through 158 games to earn him his first All-Star Game appearance.

Pittsburgh selected McCutchen with the 11th pick of the 2005 draft and he has played his entire career with the Pirates, appearing in 420 games.

He is a career .276 hitter with 95 doubles, 19 triples, 51 home runs, 199 RBI, 255 runs scored and 78 stolen bases.
