St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Rams have released veteran guard Harvey Dahl, the team announced Monday.

Dahl, who started 39 games at right guard for the Rams over the past three seasons, was due a $2 million roster bonus had he remained with the team through Thursday.

The 32-year-old signed a four-year contract with St. Louis following the 2011 lockout after spending the previous four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. Dahl was displaced as a starter midway through the 2013 campaign, however, and appeared in only one of the Rams' final eight games.

Dahl has made 82 career starts over nine NFL seasons with San Francisco, Atlanta and St. Louis.
