QPR midfielder Kieron Dyer is likely to miss the remainder of the season as he gets set to undergo another operation on his foot.

The 32-year-old has played just seven minutes this season for Rangers after injuring himself on opening day against Bolton, but he was expected to return after the holiday period as he made good progress in his recovery.

However, Dyer sustained an injury to the same foot during a reserve game against Tottenham this week and will have another operation.

QPR boss Neil Warnock will now probably leave Dyer off his 25-man roster when he re-submits it to the league following the close of the next transfer window.
