The Philadelphia Phillies placed starting pitcher John Lannan on the 15-day disabled list Friday and recalled righty B.J. Rosenberg from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Lannan tossed only 1 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves before leaving with what the team has diagnosed as left knee tendinosis.

The southpaw, in his first year with the Phillies, missed two months earlier this season with a strained quadriceps tendon.

Lannan has gone 3-6 with a 5.33 ERA in 14 outings.
