The New England Patriots signed veteran guard Brian Waters on Sunday.

Waters spent the last 11 seasons with Kansas City, appearing in 163 games (149 starts) since 2000.

A four-time Pro Bowler out of North Texas, the 34-year-old Waters began his career as a tight end in 1999 with the Cowboys, but did not play there and switched to the offensive line the following season when he was picked up by the Chiefs.

He was released by the franchise in late July.

In addition, the Pats released long snapper/tight end James Dearth and offensive lineman Steve Maneri.
