Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Orioles have reinstated J.J. Hardy from the 15-day disabled list and placed Everth Cabrera on the DL with a left foot contusion.

Hardy was placed on the disabled list on April 5 (retroactive to March 27) with a left shoulder strain. He appeared in three rehab games with Double-A Bowie, batting .333 (4-for-12) with a double, RBI and two runs scored.

In 2014, Hardy earned his third consecutive Gold Glove Award. He hit .268 with 28 doubles, nine homers and 52 RBI in 141 games.

The Gold Glove shortstop is set to make his season debut against the New York Yankees on Thursday.

Cabrera was hit by a pitch Wednesday against the Mets. The 28-year-old Cabrera has a .205 batting average with two doubles, four RBI and six runs scored in 23 games this season.
