Orioles activate 1B Davis from DL
New York, NY – The Baltimore Orioles activated first baseman day disabled list and put him in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Yankees.
Davis had been sidelined since August 15 because of a right shoulder injury.
He has played just 10 games for the Orioles since coming over from Texas, along with pitcher Tommy Hunter, in the July 30 trade that landed reliever Koji Uehara on the Rangers.
In 38 total games this season, Davis is hitting .241 with four homers, nine RBI and a .279 on-base percentage.
The Orioles also called up pitchers Clay Rapada and Jeremy Accardo from Triple-A Norfolk.
