Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Norman Powell poured in a team-high 19 points to lead No. 25 UCLA to a 69-56 win over 21st-ranked Colorado at Coors Events Center.
Jordan Adams added 14 points and 13 rebounds and David Wear finished with 11 points and seven boards for the Bruins (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12), winners in five of their last six games. UCLA had played in just one other true road game entering the contest, an 80-71 setback at Missouri on Dec. 7.
The Buffaloes (14-4, 3-2) were without the services of their top player Spencer Dinwiddie, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Sunday's loss at Washington. Dinwiddie was leading the team in scoring (14.7 ppg), assists (3.8 apg) and minutes played (31.1 mpg) and was also one of Colorado's top defenders.
Asika Booker scored 21 points and Josh Scott had 19 points and nine rebounds for Colorado, losers in two straight. Seven other players that appeared in the contest for the Buffs combined for just 16 points.
