The Seattle Mariners made several roster moves prior to Wednesday's contest against the San Diego Padres.

The Mariners activated outfielder Franklin Gutierrez off the 15-day disabled list and placed outfielder Mike Carp and pitcher Stephen Pryor on the 15-day disabled list.

Gutierrez, who has been sidelined since March 28 with a partial tear of his right pectoral muscle, had a .224 average with 13 doubles, one home run, 19 RBI and 26 runs scored through 92 games with the Mariners last season.

Carp will be making his second stint on the DL this season because of an inflamed right shoulder and was batting .157 with four homers and 12 RBI in 32 games for Seattle this year. His stay is retroactive to June 11.

Prior is suffering from a strained left groin and had a 1-0 record with a 1.69 earned run average in six appearances out of the bullpen this season.

Seattle also recalled pitchers Erasmo Ramirez and Steve Delabar, and outfielder Casper Wells from Triple-A Tacoma.
