Keys, Levine get USTA's Australian Open wild cards
NORCROSS, Ga. – Teenager Madison Keys and Jesse Levine have earned wild-card berths at the Australian Open by winning U.S. Tennis Association playoffs.
The 16-year-old Keys beat Gail Brodsky 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday to earn the women's wild card, while Levine defeated Robby Ginepri 6-0, 6-2, 6-1 for the men's spot.
Both Keys and Levine live in Boca Raton, Fla.
The Australian Open, the year's first Grand Slam tennis tournament, starts Jan. 16.
