Rome, Italy – AC Milan moved seven points clear at the top of Serie A on Saturday after Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted two goals to give the Rossoneri a 2-1 win over Roma at the San Siro.
Milan had won its last three games without conceding a goal but went behind just before halftime to a Pablo Osvaldo strike.
However, Ibrahimovic scored from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute to level the contest and netted the winning goal seven minutes from time to apply more pressure to second-place Juventus ahead of its match with Inter Milan on Sunday.
The hosts wasted numerous chances to take the lead, including a shot that hit the post from Stephan El Shaarawy, before Roma snatched the advantage against the run of play in the 44th minute.
Daniele De Rossi set up the goal with a pass that left Osvaldo with little to do but tap the ball in from close range to give the visitors an unlikely lead.
But De Rossi was whistled for handling the ball inside his own penalty area early in the second half, and Ibrahimovic stroked home the spot kick to even things at 1-1.
The goal was the 21st of the season for the Swede, and after Sulley Muntari had a shot tipped onto the crossbar by Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, Ibrahimovic headed home the winner seven minutes from time to secure the win.
Palermo 1, Udinese 1
Palermo, Italy - Udinese salvaged a point at Palermo on Saturday as Gabriel Torje's goal in the 84th minute helped the visitors to a 1-1 draw that moves them level with Lazio in third place.
Fabrizio Miccoli gave Udinese problems throughout the match and he found the net in the 31st minute to put Palermo ahead with a shot that sailed past goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and inside the far post.
Antonio Di Natale missed numerous chances for Udinese, but just when it started to look like the equalizer wouldn't arrive, Torje received a pass from Roberto Pereyra inside the penalty area on the right and drove it into the lower corner of the net across goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.
