Rob Hampton scored 19 points and Kyle O'Quinn had a double-double Monday night to help Norfolk State end an 11-game losing streak with an 86-65 victory against Florida A&M.

O'Quinn finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Spartans (2-12, 1-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who led by just 35-30 at halftime. Norfolk State came out on fire in the second half, shooting better than 54 percent and extended its lead to as many as 24 points. It was the sixth consecutive victory in the series for the Spartans.

Florida A&M (5-10, 0-3) got 23 points and 12 rebounds from Amin Stevens and 16 points from Yannicvk Crowder, but the Aggies shot just 32 percent in the second half.

Stevens scored 20 after halftime, but the rest of the Aggies managed just 15 points.

Hampton also had seven assists for the Spartans, and Aleek Pauline scored 14 to go with six assists and three steals.
