Jordan Miller scored 21 points and Furman pulled away from Samford 74-55 on Thursday night.

Miller made 6 of 10 3-point attempts as the Paladins were 14 of 25 (62.5 percent) from long range. The Paladins shot 55.6 percent (25 of 45) from the field, including 7 of 14 by Miller.

The Paladins (13-5, 5-2 Southern Conference) broke open a close game with a 15-0 run in the second half. A 3-pointer by Amu Saaka with 6:58 to play capped the surge and gave the Paladins a 62-46 lead. The Bulldogs could get no closer than 12 points the rest of the way.

Noah States added 20 points, and Darryl Evans and Saaka each had 14 for the Paladins, who have won two in a row and three of their past four games. Furman is 5-0 in the series at home.

Gregg Wooten and John Peterson each scored 11 points for Samford (10-9, 2-5), which has lost four games in a row.
