Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks placed forward Kyle Palmieri on injured reserve Wednesday.
Palmieri suffered a shoulder injury during Tuesday's 6-2 loss to Toronto after getting hit by Maple Leafs forward Peter Holland.
The 23-year-old has tallied five goals and nine points through 15 games this season, his fifth with the Ducks.
Anaheim also recalled forward Emerson Etem from Norfolk (AHL) and assigned goaltender John Gibson to the Admirals.
Etem has posted two goals and two assists in 21 games this season, while Gibson recorded a 2-2 record with a .927 save percentage and a 2.28 goals- against average before suffering a groin injury.
