Top seeded Juan Martin del Potro downed American John Isner to capture his third Citi Open title on Sunday.

Del Potro, who also won this event in 2008 and 2009, lost the first set, but fought back for a 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 triumph over the eighth-seeded Isner on the hardcourts at FitzGerald Tennis Center.

The 24-year-old also extended his match winning streak in Washington to 14.

Fresh off last week's title at the BB&T Atlanta Open, Isner, who was the runner-up to Andy Roddick in this event in 2007, saw his eight-match winning streak come to a halt.

Del Potro collected $295,200 with the win.
