J.P. Kuhlman scored 20 points to lead Davidson over Georgia Southern 73-66 in Southern Conference action on Monday night.

The Wildcats (10-12, 4-7) shot 56 percent from the floor (14 of 25) in the opening half, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc (62.5 percent) to take a 35-26 halftime lead.

Davidson continued to lead 44-34 with 13:30 left to play, before an 11-4 run by the Eagles (4-19, 0-10) pulled them to within three, 48-45, with 9:43 remaining.

Brendan McKillop sparked a 6-0 run with a 3-pointer as the Wildcats pulled back ahead 54-45 with 6:52 to go. Georgia Southern trailed by at least six points the rest of the way.

De'Mon Brooks added 14 points and McKillop had 11 for Davidson, which won despite committing 21 turnovers.

Jelani Hewitt scored 14 points, Ben Drayton III added 12 and Tre' Bussey 11 for the Eagles, who have lost 10 consecutive games.
