Corinthians downs Criciuma to continue good run
Sao Paulo, Brazil – Corinthians ran its unbeaten streak to four games on Sunday with a 2-0 win at Criciuma to edge further up the league table.
Corinthians started quickly with Renato Augusto putting the visitors ahead after nine minutes, while Jose Paolo Guerrero converted a penalty kick in the 23rd to double the advantage.

Botafogo moved to the top of the league following a 3-2 win over Vasco da Gama that saw Mariano Marques net two goals and Vitoria claimed a late 2-1 win against Portuguesa courtesy of Fabricio's 85th-minute tally.
Saturday's lone contest saw Cruzeiro hold off Coritiba, 1-0, behind Luan's goal in the 11th minute.
