Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Americans will remain in the world group after Bob and Mike Bryan's dominant doubles victory on Saturday.
John Isner and Sam Querrey won singles matches Friday to give the United States a commanding lead in the best-of-five Davis Cup playoff tie against Slovakia.
The Bryan brothers, fresh off their U.S. Open title, clinched it with a 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 rout of Norbert Gombos and Lukas Lacko on an indoor hardcourt at Sears Centre.
The record 32-time champion Americans haven't captured the Davis Cup since 2007.
