Amsterdam, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - A strong second half helped Ajax claim a 3-1 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday, bringing the club to within one point of top spot in the Eredivisie.

Anwar El-Ghazi had put Ajax in front after only 10 minutes, but Fernando Lewis struck in the 28th to bring Go Ahead Eagles level.

Ajax would not be denied, though, as Arkadiusz Milik provided the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute before Lasse Schoene wrapped up the affair with an insurance goal 15 minutes from time.

The win puts Ajax on 20 points for the season, one point back of first-place PSV. Eindhoven, however, can restore its four-point lead with defeat of Utrecht on Sunday.

Go Ahead Eagles, meanwhile, remain on 11 points.

Willem II also ran out to a 3-1 victory on Saturday as a brace from Samuel Armenteros lifted the club to a comfortable win at Heracles.

Stijn Wuytens had put the visitors in front in the 21st minute before Armenteros scored twice in the span of 17 minutes. Oussama Tannane managed to pull one back in the 77th minute for Heracles, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal.

Also in the Dutch top flight on Saturday, AZ Alkmaar rallied to get a point from a 2-2 draw with Groningen while Marko Vejinovic and Adnane Tighadouini exchanged braces in Vitesse's 2-2 draw with NAC Breda.
